Summary: The pool is out of order and that 1 reason I picked this hotel. No free breakfast and that’s the 2nd reason I picked this hotel. The hotel halls smell musty/damp. The door to our room sticks. It’s very hard to open.

Summary: We recently stayed creekside at this hotel, and while the view was genuinely lovely and peaceful, it felt like a missed opportunity. The small deck outside our room was broken and unusable, which was disappointing since it could have been the highlight of our stay. On the positive side, the staff were friendly and welcoming, and the room itself seemed clean. Breakfast was a basic continental setup—nothing special, but enough to start the day. Unfortunately, the property as a whole is clearly in need of significant maintenance. The roof was leaking in several areas (thankfully not in our room), and the entire building had a strong smell of cigarettes, even in supposedly non-smoking areas. Other guests during our stay were loud and disruptive, particularly in the lobby, which made the atmosphere uncomfortable at times. It’s easy to imagine this place being a charming retreat—maybe 30 years ago—but today it’s showing its age and neglect. With some serious updates and better management, it could shine again. Until then, it’s a mixed experience at best.
